Paul - Drums
The Piz "drums" once consisted of:
- 1 snare
- 3 upside-down Kool Seal roof coating buckets
- 3 books to tilt the buckets into position
- 1 coffee can with a band-aid on it
- 1 severely damaged cymbal, now broken in half and chained together
- 2 cracked drumsticks of different sizes with 3 kinds of tape and both tips broken off
- 1 rocking chair held together with string and duct tape for paul to sit in
Nowadays we have more things like:
- 1 lamp
- 1 metal pan to hold the broken cymbal and chain
- 1 tambourine
- 1 bottom of a shopping cart
- 1 cowbell
- 1 metal folding stool
- 1 large "famous Danish castles" butter cookies can
- 1 real bass drum
- 2 real toms
- 1 crappy snare drum with no snare
- 1 lamp made into a bucket stand
- real cymbals - hi-hat, ride, crash-ride, splash
- a real drum throne
- more drumsticks including brushes and mallets
- 1 thick metal lid of a pot
Paul didn't start playing drums until we got them.
Before that, his job in the band seemed to be playing slide whistle.
